On April 9th The Career Development Center will be hosting the Federal & State Career Panel in the Library Grand Reading Room from 4:00-6:00pm (rescheduled due to the 2013 Blizzard in February). In addition to a variety of federal & state representatives on the panel, Sara Clement Biggs, of the Washington Center, Senior Manager of Admissions & Institutional Relations will also be available for anyone interested in learning more about the internship program at The Washington Center(TWC). This will be the only day that a TWC representative will be on campus this semester.
The TWC Internship Program provides our students excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience in our nation's Capital in all academic areas. Last semester, 10 UMD students participated and received a $5000 Massachusetts state scholarship to attend the TWC Internship Program.
If you can't make the meeting and want to learn more about the program I suggest that you schedule a meeting with Gail Berman Martin in our Career Development Center (in the ground floor of the campus center). Here is her contact information:

For CCB students who want to explore how the credits from the Washington Center would transfer into UMD, schedule an appointment with Assistant Dean Neal Gouck in the CCB building. His contact information is on the UMD Directory. He can explain how TWC credits will meet your particular needs.
