IT Support Specialist
The IT Support Specialist is a problem solver whose tasks involve supporting and troubleshooting a wide range of problems on Windows PCs, Macs, and servers in a business enterprise environment. The candidate will install and update software, resolve problems having to do with network printers, Microsoft Office/Outlook, and IE, Chrome, Firefox web browsers. In addition, the candidate will configure/fix new and existing PCs and Macs in coordination with IT staff.
The ideal candidate has experience with Windows Operating systems in addition to one or more of these operating systems: Windows Server 2008, 2012, Windows 8, Mac OSes, and iOS. Powershell/command shell and command line administration skills and troubleshooting are highly desirable.
Experience with Linux, and in particular Linux C/Bash shell are a plus. Ability to write and test shell scripts and some working familiarity with HTML, XML, Javascript, Perl, Python are another big plus.
