Job Description

Location: Lincoln, RI

Amica’s 10 week internship program will allow you to experience what it is like to work in our dynamic Claims and Sales and Client Services Departments. You will gain hands-on experience working directly in both departments. During the internship you will also further develop your communication and leadership skills and be involved with our Future Leaders Program. Our office located in Lincoln, RI is seeking interns for our Training and Development Department. This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week during the summer months.

Our internship program is designed for individuals who have completed their junior year from an accredited college/university before the start of the summer internship. Candidates could be considered for full time employment after graduation.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

•Learn the fundamentals of insurance as well as Amica’s products and services

•Experience the claims reporting process and actively participate in our First Notice of Loss Dept.

•Observe claims and sales/service operations in our Service Center Operations – East

•Shadow current Adjusters and Account Managers

•Network with Amica’s leadership team

•Assist the recruiting team with duties such as career fair preparation and the interview process

•Work on various business projects for our Claims and Sales and Client Services Departments

•Present projects to Amica’s leadership team

Job Requirements:

•Seeking a Bachelor’s degree, any major

•Experience with Microsoft Office products

•Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple tasks and/or projects simultaneously

•Demonstrated customer service experience

•Ability to work well within a team

•Strong communication and leadership skills
