COMMENT: I often tell my students (especially accounting students) how they should take tours of businesses. Such a tour helps you to learn about how operations are carried out, the types of resources and technologies used, and can help answer a lot of questions about real world productive facilities. Even accountants need this type of background. I encourage any major - not just Op. management types, to condder participation in this tour! Here are the deatils:
There is a great opportunity for students of all majors in the Charlton College of Business to take part in a in-depth plant tour of the American Dryer Corporation located in Fall River, MA.
