MERCHANDSIDE CONTROLLER INTERNSHIP During your summer internship at the Marshalls Distribution Center in Woburn, MA, you will gain experience in Merchandise Control in one of TJX’s busiest facilities. Your internship will follow a ‘MC-in-training’ format, where you will gain an overview of the company and learn about inspecting merchandise and supply chain in a real-life setting. Following a period of learning the flow of merchandise through the building, you will be paired up with an experienced MC. You will learn how to inspect merchandise, build relationships between the departments and managers, and communicate with Planning & Allocation. Merchandise Controller Internship: Responsibilities: Inspects merchandise and ensures all legal requirements are met Inspects merchandise and adheres to all PO check requirements Ensures merchandise is seasonally appropriate and a value to our customer Proactively addresses Vendor Compliance issues and ensures quality Vendor Compliance emails are sent to VC mailbox with pictures if needed Builds and maintains effective working relationships with hourly Associates, DC Management, and Planning & Allocation Educates Associates on Merchandise Control topics and teaches the business philosophy Special projects as assigned Requirements: Highly organized with the ability to multitask Strong attention to detail Ability to be flexible Excellent written and oral communication skills Superior analytical skills Ability to work either 1 st , 2 nd , or split shifts A sophomore or junior in college
