Responsibilities The Cyber Defense—Security Monitoring and Incident Response Team (SMIRT) currently has an opportunity for an Information Security Intern. We’re looking for a team oriented security generalist with the flexibility to adapt within a fast paced, dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will have studied in one of the security disciplines that the Cyber Defense Team oversees, to include Security Events Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, Server Compliance Management, Cyber Security Incident Management and/or Forensics. The ideal candidate will have shown a willingness to learn and development within the IT Security space. Prior internship experience working with or for a Security Operations Center is also quite valuable. Qualifications 0-3 years Information Security experience in a large corporate environment. Relevant experience or exposure in at least two of the following security technology areas preferred; Security Events Monitoring Tools Intrusion Prevention Tools Firewalls Application Security Tools Vulnerability tools Automated Security Patching Applications Cyber Security Incident Response Network Intrusion Detection Systems Host Intrusion Detection Systems Computer Forensics Hours and Work Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
