Group’s 2012 Summer Internship Program: Our summer internship is so much more than just a summer job. It’s responsible assignments that affect the business; structured educational workshops from senior management; supportive mentoring; and an opportunity to work on a comprehensive strategy project and present to the senior leadership team. Keds is helping to inspire a collective spirit of new American style, youthful optimism, collaboration and togetherness. Keds seeks a highly motivated marketing intern for the Summer 2012 semester. This internship requires 40 hours per week and will provide on-site assistance to the Keds Marketing team, which will include a variety of projects that touch retail marketing, public relations, social media, as well as digital and experiential programs. A strong interest in fashion and social media is required. Responsibilities: Support seasonal experiential programs: Provide administrative support Assist with brainstorming Coordinate branded trailer location, storage, upkeep Source promotional items Manage calendars and develop and track timelines Consumer & competitive research Review trend reports Review competitor websites and e-newsletters Prepare in store visual merchandise comparison report NY Showroom Assist with shipping product/assets Source materials needed Sales Meeting Assist manager in development and execution of marketing elements Social Media Assist manager with daily status updates for Facebook and Twitter for the Keds and Grasshoppers brands Monitor Chictopia style galleries and incorporate them into social media as needed Create sets on Polyvore to integrate into social media Support logistics for key events (tradeshows) and photoshoots Assist with execution of marketing materials for FFANY , tradeshows & sales/marketing events Organize product samples Copywriting/content review Draft email communications, product copy, press materials as needed Proofread marketing copy as needed Review videos for creative input Sweepstakes Management Manage and fulfill sweepstakes/contest registrations and awards Public Relations Track and organize samples internally and externally Update PR collaboration calendars as needed Coordinate with PR agencies to ship samples Respond to media requests for product as needed Keds Collective Coordinate and track Artist sample codes Assist Manager with signing on new artists and responding to inquiries Make suggestions for streamlining and evaluating artists in the Collective AdminProcess new vendor setup forms, check requests and PO number processing Monitor Peoplesoft for invoices Requirements: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, rising seniors preferred Knowledge of MS Office (word, excel, PPT) is required Experience with Adobe Photoshop preferred Strong familiarity with social networking sites like Facebook, Chictopia, StyleCaster, Twitter and YouTube |
