Group's 2012 Summer Internship Program: Our summer internship is so much more
than just a summer job. It's responsible assignments that affect the business;
structured educational workshops from senior management; supportive mentoring;
and an opportunity to work on a comprehensive strategy project and present to
the senior leadership team. The Sourcing intern for Materials supports the
Materials Team in a variety of projects: Improving/ Developing data base to
track materials usage/forecasting Managing materials for the PDM system
Library maintenance: Swatches, catalogues and standards
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare reports for reviewing material costs, forecasts and usage Handle material requests for materials to be entered into the PDM System Reach out to material suppliers to gather necessary attributes for entering material into the library Enter material attributes in the material record in order to promote the material into approved status Assist the Material Manager in organizing the materials library Assist Materials team in maintaining references for color standards/windows Requirements: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, rising seniors preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (willing to use or learn pivot tables, V-look ups, macros) and Powerpoint. Interest in sourcing & supply chain Good e-mail & intercommunication skills Understand common material attributes Quick learner to understand how to navigate within the PDM system in Enovia |
