During the 10 week engagement interns will be in a supportive learning environment contributing both independently and on a team against key department initiatives. Labor Relations Intern will fill an analytical role on the team by performing analysis on department spending, outside counsel billing rates, and trends in grievances/arbitrations, as well as labor laws. Analysis will also be conducted on neutrality agreement trends, enterprise wide data to assist in the development of an enterprise labor strategy. Individual will also be responsible for the creation of tables, reports, charts and graphs, for labor team throughout both the legal and labor relations department, as well as drafting written summaries of analysis as needed. This intern will be utilizing their analytical skills to create templates and cost work books for the department to utilize for union contracts.
*Availability to work full time for duration of the 10 week program. *Strong analytical skills and a basic knowledge of statistics *Experience in creating and manipulating tables, charts and graphs in Excel *Experience in creating PowerPoint slides with tables, charts and graphs *Ability to create presentations that clearly communicate data analysis to legal and business executives *Ability to work independently and with others *Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
*Prefer experience using PowerPoint as intern will be creating presentations for business executives.
*Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at a 4 year college or university and entering their senior year in fall 2014
