Job Description
Grant Thornton has exciting opportunities for talented students who
are interested in pursuing a successful career in the field of
marketing. We are seeking a responsible and career-minded MARKETING
MAJOR with excellent teamwork and communications skills. The
marketing intern will work directly within marketing and sales
department at Grant Thornton's Boston office assisting with all areas
of the advertising, public relations and business development. The
marketing intern will be part of an active local, regional and
national team. As a Marketing Intern, you will be responsible in
assisting with the maintenance of SalesLogix record keeping including
changes generated through mailings, events and periodic cleanup;
Building/maintaining accurate, up-to-date client lists; Verifying
facts and appropriately sourcing data; Assisting with events, which
include pre- and post-event follow-up, tracking RSVPs, nametags,
set-up, etc.; Assisting in updating client information for Service
Quality Management client survey process; Preparing, designing and
updating sales and marketing materials; Assisting in the distribution
of major targeting mailing campaigns and labels, stuffing envelopes,
etc.; Printing and binding of proposals and presentation materials.

Job Qualifications
Qualified candidates will be pursuing an undergraduate or masters
degree in marketing with a solid academic record, excellent
communication skills, outstanding analytical skills, an ability to
handle multiple priorities and simultaneous projects, strong computer
skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Strong
technology (Excel, Word, Internet) and database management skills are
also necessary.
Training
Grant Thornton provides training programs related to an individual's
job responsibilities. The training program for an intern is condensed
as it relates to the length and responsibilities of the internship.
