Job Description:Responsibilities Gain the knowledge of how and why specific merchandise is bought to give our customers the best shopping experience. This paid internship will offer invaluable experience providing the framework for a successful career in buying and merchandising products that can change this industry. Learn from the company that introduced iconic products like the mailmate shredder, the one touch stapler, and the wordlock.This is an experiential learning environment. You will work directly with buyers, gathering industry data, track trends, themes, and competitive shopping to assist with item selection. Work with vendors to organize product information and obtain vendor product samples for Buyers. Receive cross functional departmental exposure working on selling tools like circulars, selecting ad copy and images to best describe the product. This internship is for students interested in ultimately being a buyer.
Qualifications
Undergrad college junior student target who ultimately wants to be a buyer
Ability to multi taskStrong verbal and written communication
Attention to detail
Ability to work as a team member while also leading own responsibilities
Past work experience a plus
