Support assistance will be on a variety of SUN X64 Servers, and understand X86/X64 Software products. The candidate will learn assist with Live Transfer (LT) calls from customers in a break-fix Help Desk environment. Documenting issues via sun Case management system and assist in facilitating issue resolution

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:


Assist with Loging a service request as required. Login to live transfer shift as scheduled and effectively manage your time to be available to take customer calls. Follow up with customers when promised/scheduled. Escalate calls to the appropriate level, in a timely manner. Escalations include accurate and complete information.


Contribute to a positive work environment by being an active and productive team member. Follow through on commitments. Attend and participate in scheduled team/staff meetings. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:


Must have working background in X86/x64 Intel or AMD based

* Proven ability to grasp concepts and think/learn quickly and work
independently with minimum direction.

* Strong working knowledge and use the Internet and web-based applications.

* Proven analytical skill set.

* Working knowledge with MS office SW, Word, Excel and Power Point.
