Description of Company: Provide bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and tax services to the fishing industry and other small companies and individuals.
Primary duties:
Post general ledger entries into the system, reconcile bank statements,
issue checks for invoices, payroll, fishing settlements, etc.
Student learning: Payroll, general ledger posting, accounts payable, receivables.
Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Academic preparation: A college student studying to become an accountant, junior or senior with a GPA of 2.8 and higher.
Skills required: Microsoft office, Quickbooks, some accounting courses
Hours of work: 20+ hours
Start and end dates: September through December 2013.
