Special Projects Intern: MIS or Accounting

Internship at Better Community Living, Inc.

Description of the company including the mission, location, sales and market coverage. Better Community Living, Inc. provides supports and services to individuals and families in the Greater New Bedford Area who have a family member with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. The agency is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and contracts with the state of Massachusetts with a Budget of over $6,000,000.

This internship will develop an information system to monitor the vehicles and transportation information within the agency.

Primary duties and responsibilities: Gather information from contact and monthly business reports and analysis data and develop reports for managers a Better Community Living.

What will the student learn from this experience? The student will learn how to gather raw data and develop the information into reports that will be used by managers at Better Community Living.

Job Title: Student Intern of Special Projects

Compensation: $10.00 per hour

Academic preparation of the student required (graduate, senior, junior, courses taken, GPA, etc.): Preferred area of study in ACT or MIS. Preferrred educational level junior or senior.

Skills required: Ability to use business accounting and spread sheet software.

Hours of work: 8 hours per week. Flexible

Start and end dates: Flexible
