SUMMARY

Helps to market Club activities, organizes, schedules, publicizes and attends events which deepen Club relationships with employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs communication pieces for events and activities, utilizing all available resources (i.e., Club newspaper, flyers, Intranet, email blasts, etc.) to ensure awareness throughout decentralized Club network; oversees the production and distribution of marketing pieces.

• Assists in the coordination of activities with outsourced vendors for Health and Wellness programs. Under the direction of the Wellness & Employee Events Specialist, assists with ensuring programs are developed that foster employee enthusiasm and loyalty to the Club; anticipates contingencies and develops strategies; attends some events to ensure professional point-of-contact.

• Works with the Human Resources staff to develop and implement communications to market AAA as an employer of choice; identifies opportunities to increase organization awareness of positive attributes of work environment, health promotion and our customer service standards.

• Performs other job-related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a Bachelor’ Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field; or currently enrolled in a Marketing or Communications Program or a related field of study. Some experience in event planning, communications or marketing required. Prior human resources experience preferred but not required. Strong project planning skills required; must have initiative. Must be hands-on, with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously. Must have strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels in a diverse environment. Must have excellent team building skills, with the ability to generate interest in activities and events. Excellent written communication and presentation skills required, with the ability to convey fundamental messages in all types of communication pieces. Must have complete familiarity with the Microsoft Office platforms, specifically Microsoft Publisher and Excel.
