Personal Financial Planning Internship (Dartmouth) - Summer 2014
A local financial planning firm was
established in 1999 and located on State Road in Dartmouth is looking to bring
on an intern. Their mission is to provide sound financial advice to small
business owners and professionals; taking them through their unique planning
process, implementing recommendation utilizing blue chip investments and insurance
products and providing oversight on an ongoing basis.
1. Assisting with the preparation of
account applications, which is the first step to gaining an understanding of
the process of working in the financial industry.
2. Assisting with a transition to
the cloud; including assisting with a transition to a new cloud based CRM,
transitioning to a cloud based file management system; which will help with the
organizational skills and understanding of the clients required to be in the
3. As knowledge basis and core
competency is improved, preparing reviews for client meetings; the first step
to understanding the financial planning process.
4. As intern progresses,
working to assisting to prepare financial plans and investment/insurance
illustrations; the second phase of understanding the financial planning
Seeking a junior who is interested
in the financial planning field who has proven competency, reliability,
dedication and motivation.
Required skills: hard working, self
motivated person who has a basic understanding of financial services field.
Hours of work: ideally 16-20 hours
Start-end dates: earliest start
would be May 1st end date would be
dependent on other variables.
