Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is seeking a motivated intern seeking an opportunity to assist with the company's social responsibility and community relations efforts including our award-winning employee volunteerism program. Reporting to the Director of Community Relations and CSR, the candidate will interact with various community groups and company personnel, so strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. The candidate should possess solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting tight deadlines as this position also provides general administrative support. We require an individual with strong PC experience, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Position Responsibilities: Attends internal community events, as required. Handles day-to-day administrative functions including phone, scheduling, mail, filing, printing/copying, data entry, etc. Maintains the employee volunteer and charitable donations database Prepares written communication with key stakeholders Conducts online research Other duties as assigned Internship is located in downtown Providence next to train station and close to RIPTA station.
