Asset Management Investment Services is currently recruiting Summer Interns to support its various business areas in Boston, MA.
Asset Management's Investment Services (AMIS) strives to be a valued partner who provides efficient and flexible services in the areas of product analysis and implementation, fund oversight, data management, compliance and operational risk oversight enabling achievement of investment and business objectives. AMIS is comprised of approximately 400 people with a majority sitting in Boston, MA and Merrimack, NH.
Investment Services is made up of eight business areas to include:
- Analytics & Data Services
- Risk & Proxy Research
- Compliance
- Product Research/Board of Trustees Management
- Business Operations
- Finance/Treasury
- Investment Information Services
Possible Internship placements could include:
- Participating in various Investment Reporting & Analysis related departmental projects. Calculate, review, and proof critical performance information in shareholder reports including fund and benchmark returns, 10K charts, peer group information, and index descriptions. Participate in other reporting including standard internal, ad-hoc, and regulatory reporting assignments as needed.
- Supporting risk assessment programs which requires review of over 100 polices and the related processes, risks and controls. Learn about processes in detail and assess the controls in place; participate in a normal process improvement exercise.
- The Global Data Services team has many repositories of data, some of which overlap considerably. The Fund Operations team is undergoing a large transformation and could use assistance to help inventory data, reconcile and/or quality check data entries, especially between the current and future state models.
Qualifications

- Basic understanding of the mutual fund industry
- Willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to listen, comprehend, and ask the right questions
- Detail oriented, organized and should possess strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Team player, and be willing to take on new challenges when presented with opportunities.
- Attention to detail, understand the criticality of data accuracy and thorough review; Ability to multi-task and manage deadlines.
- Strong foundation of PC skills is preferred (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Email, and web navigation). The ability to work with a variety of technology and internal tools is required.
