Responsibilities

Our group is responsible for managing and developing the Higher Education Business publishing lists for print and digital. This includes signing new projects, developing first edition product, managing revisions, and developing media that meets the needs of student and instructor challenges.

We are seeking an intern that will help with two discrete projects:

Develop and organize our customer and reviewer management system. This includes: working with editors and marketers to gather information on customers and reviewers, developing a process for data entry; managing freelancers conducting data entry.

In addition, the intern will work with our Pearson Leadership Associate on researching Decision Making digital simulations in education.

Intern Responsibilities

Managing and overseeing freelancers responsible for data entry.

Ensuring the timely release of a complete customer and reviewer database

Researching and reporting on current simulations in Pearson and from other educational material providers.

Intern Activities

Contacting freelancers to assess progress and answer questions.

Review freelancer work

Contact educational simulation providers internally and externally to gain access to simulations.

Excellent communication, written and verbal

Project management skills

Ability to multitask

Ability to synthesize and present information clearly

Required Technical skills

Proficiency in Word, Excel

Our ideal intern will tackle these very different tasks with the same enthusiasm and focus. They will be organized, goal-oriented, and ask questions when tasks are unclear. They will communicate through out the course of their projects.
