The Program / Marketing Intern at Junior Achievement of Southern Massachusetts will walk away with a working knowledge of a non-profit program and its relationship with the community, as well as its day-to-day operations.  We take a team approach in our office, and interns will have the opportunity to attend board and committee meetings, learn about various job functions related to running a non-profit organization, and develop skill sets that will be beneficial for future employers.  Since we are a non-profit organization, the internships are unpaid, but we will reimburse at the end of each month for mileage expenses that are incurred during the job.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: 
·         Assist with updating JASM website
·         Update and maintain social media presence
·         Submit events to online calendars
·         Create e-newsletters using Constant Contact
·         Assist with writing and distributing press releases as needed
·         Determine strategies and tactics for reaching new audiences
·         Update current volunteers’ contact information and required forms
·         Send Pre/Post Tests to each JA Classroom and input the results
·         Call / email volunteers to confirm their start date and class schedule
·         Collect Verification Forms from teachers at the end of the JA class
·         Assist Program Manager with Teacher, Volunteer, and Program Maintenance
·         Assist in the preparation and execution of JA fundraising events as needed

Qualifications and Skills:
·         Must be a sophomore, junior or senior
·         Candidate must posses a strong interest in marketing, education or business, and/or non-profit administration
·         Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to work independently, and able to follow instructions
·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·         Must have reliable transportation
·         Excellent computer skills required, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Microsoft Access preferred.
·         Ability to work independently and juggle multiple tasks at once
·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to take initiative and perform follow up
·         Ideal candidate will posses a friendly, outgoing personality

Time Commitment:
Approximately 10 hours @ 2 or 3 days per week, between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Start / end dates:
Internship opportunities are available for both fall 2012 and spring 2013 semesters.

The Project Manager Intern will be responsible for carrying out directed activities that support the American Doctors Online call center, remote sites, new implementations and overall operations.

This role will be based primarily at the American Doctors Online corporate office located in Fairhaven, MA. Candidates should expect to travel locally to assist in project management related activities based within our customer’s sites. Candidates should be in good physical condition and be free of drug and alcohol addiction. Occasional, background and unannounced drug testing should be expected.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·         Current enrollment in UMASS with a course of study to include, but not limited to:
o   Business Program

    • train two or three employees to use it as needed so a final report can be easily sent at years end to the Accountant, PO's can be created, etc...

Summer Accounting Internships - Rhode Island Hasbro and Textron

- Under the direct supervision of in-charge Senior and Internal Auditors, the Internal Audit Intern provides essential assistance during internal audit activities, contributing to the completion of specific tasks within the overall scope of the audit project.

Reporting Relationships:

- This position reports to the Manager of Internal Audit. During the course of audit engagements, the Internal Audit Intern will generally work under the direction and supervision of a Senior Internal Auditor or Audit Management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in performance of work on assigned segments of the audit.

- Assist in developing solutions for routine technical issues arising during the performance of the audit project.

Education:

- Must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Responsibilities

Our group is responsible for managing and developing the Higher Education Business publishing lists for print and digital. This includes signing new projects, developing first edition product, managing revisions, and developing media that meets the needs of student and instructor challenges.

We are seeking an intern that will help with two discrete projects:

Develop and organize our customer and reviewer management system. This includes: working with editors and marketers to gather information on customers and reviewers, developing a process for data entry; managing freelancers conducting data entry.

Summer Internships for Credit


Hi CCB students:
CCB students who have at least 60 credits earned and at least a GPA of 2.5 are eligible to earn 3 credits for a business elective.
There is still time to do an internship for credit this summer.  The process is as follows:
1. I need to approve it based on key facts that you or your supervisor send me.  Or if you apply for an land one of the internships posted on the internship blog, I will approve the internship.
2. Get in touch with or stop by the enrollment center and register for the internship course.  You may need an approval email from me to complete the transaction.  Keep in mind that normal summer tuition rates and fees apply.
3. The internship course starts on June 5th.  It is 100% online via myCourses.  You must complete the internship course while working in the internship.  You must accumulate at least 135 hours in the internship.
