Social Media and Advertising Intern - On Campus

Internship: Social Media and Advertising Intern
Location: UMass Dartmouth Undergraduate Admissions
Duration: 1 semester

Influence the future of UMD!
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Undergraduate Admissions Office is looking to hire motivated, enthusiastic undergraduate students to help bring future Corsairs to UMD!
Duties:
1. Collaborate with the Admissions Counselor responsible for Admissions social media efforts as well as, other Admissions Counselors and fellow Admissions interns.
2. Responsible for daily and weekly updating of Facebook, Twitter and You Tube.
3. Complete trend and progress analysis of social media efforts as well as, present them in both one-on-one and group meetings.
4. Assist in the oversight of Admissions Bloggers.
5. Assist with campus recruitment campaigns and events.
6. Share your enthusiasm about UMD and your UMD experience!

Minimum Requirements:
• Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Must be a Junior or Senior at UMD.
• Must be enrolled in a Charlton College of Business program
• Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, validation required.
• Must be a full-time student enrolled in the 2011-2012 school year
• Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing
• Must be available for occasional night and weekend Admissions events
• Position requires a basic knowledge of HTML coding, training will be conducted, however; a strong foundation of computer functions is required.

• Ability to articulate your positive personal experience of UMD as a student and community member
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Broad experience in and knowledge of UMD events and organizations
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
Compensation:
Upon successful completion of the internship, students will receive 3-credits from the Charlton College of Business.
