Primary duties and responsibilities:
ArtWorks! seeks a creative, motivated, and innovative individual to serve as accounting and information systems intern. Working directly with them Executive Director, the accounting and information systems intern will gain hands on-experience in all aspects of budget development, non-profit accounting practices and reporting, and fundraising information systems.

What will the student learn from this experience (list 4 or 5 learning objectives)?
Students will learn all aspects of accounting for non-profit organizations, approaches to developing functional information systems for fundraising and donor management.

Academic preparation of the student required (graduate, senior, junior, courses taken, GPA, etc.): Junior/Senior/Graduate - Business/Accounting Student

Skills required: Reliability, a general understanding of math and accounting, a love of art, and a sense of humour, and an ability to think outside the box are required.

Hours of work: Interns are asked to work 5 - 10 hours per week
NOTE: CCB students must work at least 135 hours to qualify for internship credit.
Start and end dates: September - December 2011
