The internship experience is designed to introduce you to the basics of digital sales and to the internal operations of the digital department. Assist WBZ NewsRadio News Department in news gathering, writing, audio production, and administration. Learn how a station dedicated to 24 hours of news and talk operates in all aspects. WBZ NEWSRADIO: SALES PROMOTIONS INTERNSHIPS Assist the Sales and Promotion Departments with the creation, development and execution of promotion campaigns for radio advertisers. Learn how to successfully execute on-site appearances, plan station events, and assist with daily prize distribution. WBZ-AM NEWSRADIO WEB INTERNSHIPS Assist Webmaster in site development, design and upkeep. Computer knowledge is a must. Learn how web site content is maintained and updated, use HTML, help design graphics for the site, learn how ad space is used by the sales departments and answer or forward numerous daily email requests. Develop skills in current web design/publishing software, including Adobe PhotoShop, Allaire HomeSite, Netscape Navigator/Communicator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, as well as Microsoft Office. Learn how a radio station sales department operates. Tasks include: monitoring competitive programming, following-up on leads for contact info, updating databases for new business, shadowing Account Executives on sales calls. Other responsibilities include working with the Sales Manager on event planning, assisting with off-site promotions including contacting and distributing prizes to contest winners, working with the web department in scheduling promotions, aiding in producing proposals.

The Sports Radio 103.7 WEEI-FM internship presents an exciting opportunity to learn from the #1 Sports Radio Station in the country. Requirements

Golf Event Internship, Summer 2011 - IMG (Norton, MA)
Championship Information:
The Deutsche Bank Championship is the second of four PGA TOUR Playoff events for the FedEx Cup. Held at the TPC Boston in Norton, MA over Labor Day Weekend (August 30 – September 9), the Deutsche Bank Championship is entering its 9th year as an official event on the PGA TOUR schedule. A fan favorite, and a flagship event in the IMG Golf division, the Deutsche Bank Championship has become a marquee event on the PGA TOUR schedule. Defending Champions include Steve Stricker, Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson, Tiger Woods and Adam Scott.
Internship Information:
Each intern will work directly with Championship Staff in all preparations for the Championship. Specific internship positions include Sales & Marketing, Volunteer Coordination, Charity Support, Operations and Ticketing/Credentialing, however each intern will hold responsibilities serving the Championship as a whole as well as in their designated positions.
The internship program runs from May 31 through September 9. Candidates will be notified in February if they have been selected for an interview. All interviews will take place in February and March in Norton, MA or via the telephone (for those unable to attend in person). Final decisions will be made by April 1st unless otherwise specified.
Eligibility Requirements:
All candidates must receive academic credit to be eligible. Interns for the Deutsche Bank Championship will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. As the Championship nears, a 7-day work-week will be required. Each position will require overtime, much of which is mandatory. Candidates must be able to work over the Labor Day Holiday.
