Here is a message we received from an IRS special agent:
"The IRS plans to hire for the special agent position in the near future
(May/June). At this time, we don’t know how many people will be hired. The
announcement will close once the target number of applications is reached. We
are waiting for a decision on whether the candidates need to have all the
accounting credits completed prior to application or if they can complete the
accounting requirements after their application is submitted. Interested
applicants need to establish an account on www.USAJOBS.GOV
to input their resume. They can also sign up for “Saved
Searches" to have jobs that interest them emailed to them when
they open. "
I encourage anyone graduating this month and interested in a career with the IRS to apply for this position.
