Fall Marketing and Sales (Paid) Internships at Local Yachting Company
This is an outstanding opportunity for a hard working, smart, marketing student.  I recently visited with the owner of this company and was very impressed with their operation and their plans to bring on an intern.  This is a paid internship for about 10 hours per week in the fall.  The student will work at the place of business in South Dartmouth (beautiful spot) and will be supervised by professionals in the field.  This is a successful local marine related business.


Cape Yachts:

Established in 1986, Cape Yachts has been a full service Beneteau Yacht Dealership since 1989 servicing the Northeast of the United States. The company is owned by Dave Nolan.

South Wharf (

Acquired by Dave Nolan in 2006, South Wharf has played an important role in the local marine community from the construction of whaling ships to the servicing of private yachts. The tradition of fine reliable service continues in the maintenance and repair of today’s modern sophisticated yachts.

To support the activities of its South Dartmouth (MA) yard and offices, the company is looking for an intern for the following missions:
Job Activities
Job would entail assisting with marketing and sales, in house, online, ad campaigns, email campaigns, open houses, boat shows, customer interactions including reception, greeting, etc., special projects including assisting with development of new web site (with Yachtworld), company brochure, custom video project for individual brokerage listings. Students will also be involved with social network marketing activities.

Job requirements
Business major (marketing/sales/business administration). Preferably a junior or senior. It helps to have an interest in this industry but that is not necessary. Must be a self-starter, able to follow detailed instructions, be creative, and willing to help contribute significantly to the operation of this company.

Fluent written and spoken English

Strong computer skills (MS office)

We are looking for a quick thinking, motivated individual who is able to work independently with minimal guidance. Affinity and/or knowledge of the marine industry a definite plus.

Pay: to be determined but this is a paid position.

Availability: Fall 2013.
