Aerovox, a local corporation, is looking for two CCB students to work on two distinct projects. The company provides intelligent capacitor solutions and is a leading manufacturer of capacitors for industrial, medical and specialty applications, our flexible manufacturing processes and quality-pervasive environment enable us to meet any application requirement. The company will provide a $250 stipend and gas money. The value of this experience is for your resume and the contacts that you will make. Project 1 would be good for an MIS, accounting, or business management major. Project 2 would be good for an HR or management major.
Here's some more background on the projects:
1. Aerovox has been developing a comprehensive Business Continuity Plan to deal with crisis management. This plan will include; Crisis Management,Communication Plans, Recovery Plan & Teams. To develop these a business impact analysis is in progress to glean necessary inputs to the previously mentioned components of the BCP. I am interested in a student who is either in an IT major or a Business Management major. A good portion of the plan has been developed and a student whose major is either IT or Business Administration this would be a great coop/intern project and would work closely with me to finalize and present the BCP.
2. Environmental, Safety and Health - as all business entities must deal with the ESH of their employees, Aerovox over the years continues to evolve ESH programs. We are currently driving toward developing a Comprehensive Safety Program to reduce incident rates. A student whose major is either Human Resources or Business Administration would find this project an addition to their academic achievements. Their assignment would to work close with the Safety Committee members in developing this Program.
Interested students should send their resume and cover letter to JAMES AMARAL, DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATION, JAMARAL@AEROVOX.COM
