The student will work under the direction of the Communications Manager and Human Resources Manager for the Turbine Module Center (TMC). This assignment will support TMC communications and employee engagement
initiatives. Job duties include but are not limited to: Increasing awareness of employee engagement activities, writing articles for TMC and Pratt-wide publications to promote the Turbine Module Center's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) initiatives, and managing content for the TMC Web site.
The student will support any special projects and requests, and provide a timely response to customers, suppliers, peers and management. Student will be exposed to communications standard work processes and may participate in process improvement activities utilizing ACE tools.
This is an intern assignment, May/June - August 2009 and is located in East Hartford, CT.
Student should be seeking a Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field and have a minimum 3.0 GPA Experience/Qualifications. Previous Communications and/or Human Resources internship experience preferred.
