Mike Griffin's comments: Many students are interested in sports management careers or careers in the business side of the entertainment industry. Usually what I find is that to break into these fields you must take on a no pay or low paying internship - which I suspect most of these opportunities are. However, you won't know what is available unless you get out and talk to people. So for a few hours of your time and the cost of the event, you will learn what it takes to at least get your foot in the door in the sports and entertainment industries. Mike is the Director of Internship programs at the Charlton College of Business, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
