Pursuing a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, MIS or
related technical field.
Good
communication skills, self-motivation and teamwork skills are a must.
A combination of the
following technical skills: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, Basic
Networking and Troubleshooting skills. Cabling
Ability to document technical procedures utilizing MS
Word.
Education background in
Information Technology or Computer Science preferred
Student must have awareness of the basic TCP/IP
networking, PC hardware components, desktop operating system software,
application software .
Student
must have awareness of the PC Industry’s current and emerging technology trends
and direction, as well as a keen interest in computer networking,
PC-based information systems and
technology. Interested applicants should possess excellent analytical skills and
the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems.
Should have the ability to research and
understand technical documentation, and an understanding of how to apply various
technical resources.
Ability to
perform tasks such as providing application software installations and
upgrades, virus protection and eradication.
Able to interact effectively with management, staff and
other personnel, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
Available to work part-time
(12-20 hours per week during the semester) for most
of the academic year, and possibly full-time over the
summer
