Hydroid is seeking an I.T. Help Desk Intern
Job Description: Provide
Help Desk support to Hydroid Inc. users.
1. Assist company in a
technical support role with computer software and hardware issues. This may
include repairing or installing various applications, PCs, printers and other
computer gear in an enterprise environment.
2. Monitor, maintain and
resolve I.T. help desk queue and activities in a timely manner. Open and record
new service desk tickets when needed.
3. Answer and man the
helpdesk phone for internal computer requests.
4. Setup and install
computers and information equipment for company new hires.
5. Upgrade scheduled
computers including transferring files and settings to new devices.
6. Effectively communicate
with all staff and provide high-level of customer support to employees needing
7. Promote and participate
in collaborative atmosphere.
8. Perform other related
duties as required by senior I.T. staff and management.
Other duties may be
program work in Management Information Systems or related computer degree.
Minimum of a year supporting computers in a business or academic environment as
well as excellent telephone and communication skills. Experience in Microsoft
Windows 7 and XP as well as MAC experience is highly preferred. Experience with
Microsoft Office suite applications and Outlook email configuration as well as
other various off the shelf software such as anti-virus programs is also a
plus. Microsoft certifications preferred.
