Marketing Research Intern
Overview:
This position would offer assistance with various marketing (including social media and website maintenance) & research projects related to the ATMC and Economic Development Division. The intern will apply knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world situations, as well as gain the skills and experience that is necessary to prepare him/her for a successful career upon graduation. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of marketing, business development, and social media plans. This will be accomplished through developing, maintaining and expanding marketing channels/methodologies to the university and industry community, as well as diverse partner networks.
Essential Functions:
·         Marketing Initiatives:
o   Qualitative Marketing Research/Analysis (gathering and analyzing market data)
o   Market/Product Research for TVC companies (Provide accurate market data for use in business decision-making and product launching)
o   Perform market research through interviews, focus groups and surveys
o   ATMC/Economic Development Publications (Develop newsletters, brochures, and press releases)
o   Prepare Policy and Procedure Documentations
o   Website Support (ATMC/Economic Development website updates & page modifications)
o   Any other miscellaneous assignments
·         Social Media Initiatives:
o   Coordinate events calendar with online activity
o   Ensuring consistency of messages across multiple outlets
o   Preparing reports to update staff on usage statistics
o   Tracking social media influence measurements
o   Continuous monitoring and coverage of all social media outlets
