Unpaid Marketing Internship - Summer, Fall or Spring

Propel your high school or college education by participating in the Propel Internship Program. We are a fast growing company providing online marketing solutions for small and medium size businesses.


We are committed to the development of talented students interested in expanding their skills in the area of marketing in the digital arena. In this first year program we will offer a variety of opportunities to students who wish to gain professional experience, earn school credits and strengthen their resume.

Our managers/mentors will offer students a challenging real-world approach to learn, develop skills and make significant contributions in your chosen area of study.

We are looking for students who are:

• Intelligent and enthusiastic with a passion for digital marketing

• Self-starters who are able to learn quickly and work independently

• Digital media enthusiasts, who enjoy reading about the latest in digital media, who check in everywhere they go, snap photos, post video, etc.

• Writers and Bloggers

• Engaged with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, Foursquare, etc.

• Familiar with SEO basic

• Resourceful and Creative

Propel wants to allow students every opportunity to enhance their education with an internship so we are very flexible in terms of the timing of internships. We hope to have a large number of students during the summer but participation in the Fall, Winter and Spring are also options.

Internships with Propel are unpaid and must be for academic credit. Your school will need to provide documentation regarding credit prior to the beginning of any internship. Generally, interns would work a minimum of 8 hours per week for 4 to 12 plus weeks, but schedules are flexible based on the requirements of each intern’s school.

We have internship opportunities in several business areas including Sales, Marketing, Client Services, Social Media, Operations/MIS, Web Design, and Communications.

In the Sales area an intern may gain experinece by working on Salesforce.com to sift through leads ensuring accuracy of data one day and prospect for new leads another. You may call on businesses to schedule appointments and demos or conduct market research gathering data on competition, market integrity, product receptiveness and more.

In the Operations area an intern may develop skills in mobile site creation, responsive site creation, social media content discovery, or doing data analysis and report building to educate our customers on their campaign’s success.

In the Web Design area a student might assist with the creation of social media themes for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest; or assist with updates to our customers’ websites and mobile websites or create a banner ad marketing campaign using Photoshop, Illustrator or Flash.

In the Internal Marketing department the opportunities might include brainstorming and execution of campaigns and analyzing results, copywriting activities, design of collateral and landing pages, coordination of special events and project work.

Interns will be assigned to a supervisor who will work closely with each student to help improve skills. You will be given an opportunity to really do the work. The work you perform will be directly related to your educational course work. You will enhance your resume with career-related experience while receiving academic credit…all with a talent team of individuals dedicated to delivering the best results to our customers.

Our office is conveniently located on 108 Myrtle Street in North Quincy with great access to major highways and public transportation.
