IT Internship - Local Bank

Intern Job Description

Background

Citizens-Union Savings Bank is undergoing a significant transformation including a merger with the Bank of Fall River and implementation of a new core banking system.  The Bank is uniquely positioned to be an alternative to the big banks and provide next generation information technology to continue to delivery exemplary customer service and achieve excellence in operations.  The Bank is seeking creative, high energy interns to assist with various aspects of the merger integration and core information systems migration.

 

Job Description

The anticipated duration of the internship program is from the present through the spring semester. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on various projects. You will also have the opportunity to network through mentoring and other means with the senior management and all operational areas of the Bank. 


What will you learn? You will:
- Gain an understanding of the banking and financial services industry

- Obtain hands-on experience with merger planning and execution

- Learn about information technology solutions to support electronic banking, commercial services and other critical functions of the Bank
- Strengthen and enhance your analytical, decision making, and communication skills
- Build business partnering skills

 

Qualifications

·         Intellectual curiosity; not satisfied with checking off the box

·         Strong communications skills – both verbal and written

·         Ability to work in a team environment

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

·         An undergraduate major in finance, accounting or a related discipline
