Rockland Trust Has an Immediate Marketing Internship for the Summer of 2010
The Marketing department is currently seeking a Marketing intern to
assist the department in everyday functions, as well as specific project
and bank business unit support. The ideal candidate would be someone
looking for a position in a fast-paced Marketing department, open to the
opportunity to learn new skills, and able to support many different
projects. The candidate should have a background or concentration in
Marketing or a specific interest in working in the Marketing field.
College students are encouraged to apply.
* Create and distribute collateral for various retail and business unit
programs, including: branch signage for variety of programs and
Workplace Banking.
* Support summer community initiatives, including the "Reading Makes
Cents" Summer Reading Program.
* Perform research and update/rollout improved current Financial
Literacy Program.
* General marketing research, including web-based competitive research.
* Administer the Retail Seminar Program, including maintaining an
up-to-date calendar of the events, providing collateral and requesting
and tracking results from each seminar.
* Collect, enter and verify Refer a Friend entries.
* Sort department mail.
* Other projects as needed, including administrative support
Required Skills
* General marketing knowledge and background ideal, but at least a
specific interest in working in the field. Looking for someone with high
energy who wants hands-on learning experience.
* Team and customer oriented, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Organized, with good project management skills, self-starter.
* Good computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and its programs.
