Pearson Learning Solutions Group is currently seeking candidates for our
2010 Summer Internship Program. This Program provides college students
who are interested in pursuing a career in educational media, technology
and publishing the opportunity to learn about our busienss and to gain
valuable experience as they determine their future career goals.

The Summer Internship Program runs from early June and continues for 8
weeks. Students must be able to commit to 8 weeks without interruption.
The work schedule is full-time (35 hours a week), Monday through Friday.
Pearson Interns are compensated at a competitive hourly rate.

Department Overview:
The PLS Marketing Department markets all Pearson Learning Solutions
products and solutions using print and online channels.

Job Description:
The PLS Marketing Intern will assist the Director of online marketing
and research, marketing coordinators and VP of marketing in marketing
and research campaigns. Duties will include work in direct mail, email
and online marketing.

As an Intern, you can expect to learn the basics of educational
publishing, direct mail, email and online marketing.

Requirements for the 2010 Summer Internship Program include:

-Active enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program at a 4 year College or
Univerity. Graduating seniors will be considered.
-Strong desire to pursue a career in the publishing industry after
graduation. Strong interest in educational media preferred.
-Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
-Previous office/clerical experience preferred.
-Able to work independently after training.
-Ability to trouble-shoot problems.
-Ability to manage multiple tasks under extremely tight deadlines.
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
-An interest in learning about educational publishing and marketing
learning solutions to educators and college students.
-Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
