This newly created internship opportunity is designed to be a
learning and leadership opportunity for MBA candidates seeking a job
in the medical device industry. The qualified candidate will be
responsible for participating in summer projects that develop brand
strategies and tactics to achieve successful market positioning in
key strategic product areas with the end goal of maximizing market
penetration and profitability for DePuy Spine. The role will provide
the intern visibility and involvement in all marketing aspects of
product line development, which includes formulation of product
maintenance and education strategies, management of product
development activities, and launch of new products or programs. The
Intern will work on summer projects encompassing some of these key areas:

The MBA intern(s) role will work with the Vice President of Sales,
the Vice President of Corporate Accounts and Finance to complete an
analysis of the changing environment in regard to "price" in the
spinal market and to develop recommendations in regard to future
pricing strategy and matrix management.

The successful candidate will complete a robust environmental scan of
the Spine industry and will work with Sales Management to validate
pricing challenges and recommend solutions. The ideal candidate will
be enrolled in an MBA program and have a concentration in Finance,
Market Research or Marketing. Previous medical device exposure is a plus.


Qualification

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Top-Tier MBA Required plus at least 3 years of previous business
experience Key performance areas include product management, ability
to launch products, ability to track and report on status of product
activity, successful team player and influential manager. Excellent
written and verbal presentation skills required, plus the ability to
work in a hands-on, fast paced environment. Should have a track
record of career advancement and exceeding expectations. Applicant
should be interested in a full-time career in medical device marketing.
