SECM Marketing Internship

If you are interested in this internship with a local health care provider please send me an email (mgriffin@umassd.edu) and I can send you a PDF that gives plenty of background. The position involves learning and using Constant Contact to market services to clinicians. It also involves other general office and marketing duties. The office is located in New Bedford, not far from St. Luke's Hospital.

Although it is too late in the semester to earn credit for this internship, it would be possible to work through the summer on this internship and earn 3 credits for a business elective with our summer internship course. Summer internship credit carries the same cost as any summer 3 credit course and registration is done through PCE (with my approval).

However, if you simply want to get some good experience in the marketing field, this could be a solid resume item. Keep in mind that the health care industry is one of the largest employers in this region.

Internship Information: email me and I can send you the posting as it is in PDF form.

Intro to CCB Internship Program Video

Hi CCB majors:

Here's a link to a 10 minute YouTube video that helps explain how our internship program works and the web resources (blog and web sites) that you can utilize to find internship postings. The video was produced with a great software program called Camtasia Studios. Forgive me for my Fall River accent but in the video, I narrate my way through a serious of screen shots that show our web resources and explain some of the basic rules and procedures of the program.

Any constructive feedback would be appreciated.

Also, with the spring semester underway and students already placed in internships, your attention should now be focused on summer internships. There will be a summer section of the online internship class but keep in mind that before you can enroll in that class, you must have an approved internship. I continue to post opportunities on the internship blog (www.umassd.edu/charlton/internship/) and I maintain a facebook with alerts and tips.

Good luck.
