Thank you for your interest in the Marketing Department of the Kraft
Sports Group. The Marketing Department is responsible for all of the
sales and marketing operations for the New England Patriots, New England
Revolution, and Patriot Place. Marketing internships are offered during
the spring, summer, and fall semesters. Students conducting full-time
internships during each of these semesters work two to five days a week
in the office as well as game days and marketing events. Students with
limited time commitment can apply for a game days and marketing events
internship. All internships must be completed for academic credit
through their university or college. All internships are based out of
Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA. Public transportation does not run
to the stadium on non-Patriot home game days; therefore, applicants must
have his/her own source of transportation.

Marketing Internship opportunity

Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust is looking for an intern. Here's some

information:

The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit,
membership-supported land trust established in 1971. It has 3 full-time
staff and over 800 members. Its annual operating budget is around
$340,000. Its mission is "to preserve and protect Dartmouth's natural
resources for people and nature, forever." It accomplishes its mission by:
• identifying and preserving important natural areas, farmlands,
wetlands, and wildlife habitats in Dartmouth by purchasing or accepting
donations of land and conservation restrictions;
• protecting its lands and conservation restrictions through good
stewardship practices;
• encouraging public access on land it owns (just over 1,500 acres);
• collaborating with other organizations to accomplish its goals; and
• educating and engaging the community to ensure the long-term support
for natural resource conservation and stewardship.

Primary duties and responsibilities of the intern:

To develop a marketing plan for DNRT to use to expand its membership
(people who provide financial support). Elements of this project will
include:
• the design and implementation of a survey of DNRT members and
non-members in Dartmouth to determine demographics, values, attitudes
and lifestyles;
• determining possible "target markets"; and
• suggesting strategies for engaging these markets (identify "message"
and methods to deliver it).

What will the student learn from this experience?

Will gain real-life experience in developing a marketing plan; will
learn about the demographics and attitudes of people in Dartmouth; and
will learn about the operations of a non-profit organization.

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Compensation: Stipend of $50 / week

Academic preparation of the student required (graduate, senior, junior,
courses taken, GPA, etc.):

Graduate level. Familiar with marketing. May consider a marketing senior.

Skills required:

Possess excellent written and verbal skills.
Able to work effectively without close supervision.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Willing and able to work positively with the public.
Excels at meeting deadlines.

Hours of work: 9 hours / week; flexible schedule

Marketing Internship

A local company is looking for a marketing intern for spring 2010.

Here are some details.

Job description: Commercial Marketing - Research and communicate with
additional commercial applications for our anemometer (wind speed
sensor) business. Present anemometer applications include wind energy
site, solar energy, construction, agriculture and a few others. We are
looking for industries where wind speed has an influence on safety
procedures, environmental concerns and accuracy of data collection.

Additional information about our wind speed sensors can be found on our

Consumer Marketing - Assistance with marketing our consumer website
(www.maximum-inc.com) including improving content via our proprietary
editing software (requires mid-level Word skills, not HTML editing),
establishing a presence in social networking sites such as Twitter, Face
Book and You Tube.

What will they learn: Ability to identify new markets and establish initial contact with prospective new clients. Experience with forming a corporate social networking strategy and implementing procedures to maintain a presence in this realm of marketing.

Hours/week: The company would prefer to have someone in our New Bedford office 3
days/week 2-3 hours/day. The company would be okay with an additional 2-3
hours/week working from school or home.

5th Annual Sport Management and Entertainment Executive Lecture & Career Fair

Business Majors:

The New England Patriots and the New England Revolution will be hosting their /*5th Annual*/ /*Sport Management and Entertainment Executive Lecture & Career Fair*/ at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 3:30-7:30 PM. The event is open to all students, graduate and
undergraduate, that are looking to make their first step into the Sports and Entertainment industries.

The first portion of the event will consist of a presentation from some of our organization's top executives. Following the presentation, students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from many of the industries top professional teams, minor league teams,
sports apparel companies, media companies, and public relations or advertising agencies.

Attached you will find a flyer that will enable you to more effectively communicate the details of the event to your students, and includes a list of executives participating and companies that have attended the fair previously. As the Career Fair approaches, more information will
become available and we will make sure to update you on this year's list of companies. The price of admission to the event listed on the flyer, and will also include a ticket to the Revolution's home opener game against the FC Toronto at 7:30 PM immediately following the Career Fair.

Comment from Professor Griffin: Sports related internships are difficult to land and are often unpaid but they are the way to get your foot in the door at sports related entities.
