Marketing Intern (Social Networking, e-commerce, sales)

TrueBounce, a local (New Bedford), innovative, manufacturer of sporting goods equipment is looking for a marketing intern with good communication skills to assist with e-marketing efforts including the use of social networking. If you want to combine your interest in sports (and sporting goods) with your desire to gain practical business experience, this could be an exciting opportunity. This
company/internship has some interesting aspects to it including sports,
entrepreneurship, manufacturing, technology, and innovation.

The ideal candidate should be at least a junior and have not only knowledge of marketing principles and the use of social networking to promote products and services but also be comfortable with technology, including optimizing the web within the marketing mix. The position may also require some sales work and you should expect to work 10-15 hours per week at the company's office. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the founder of this company and will see how an innovative manufacturer markets its products and you will help the company pursue its growth strategy.

If complete this unpaid internship during the spring 2010 semester, you may qualify for 3 credits (business elective), assuming you follow the college procedure and policy for credit internships.
