The TrueBounce Story
Back in 2002 a couple of contractors, Eric S. Britto college basketball star and professional referee (with NBA experience) turned contractor and Wayne D. Newton professional designer and licensed builder (not the Wayne in Las Vegas) endeavored on a project to create an indoor high tech basketball backstop to enhance the game in rebounding and mid range play. Located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the pair came up with what is known today as the TrueBounce backboard.
Eric, knowing the game of basketball knew that a backstop with holes would enhance rebounding and mid range play, and was sure the game would benefit from such an enhancement. Wayne, having experience in products and design created a prototype that has now become the unique and innovative TrueBounce backstop. The two put their heads together and came up with a unique high tech perforated backstop that is enhancing high school games across America. Not only is this backstop improving the game, it is also increasing player performance and creating positive reinforcement at a young age.
