Social Media/Marketing Internship

Social Media Intern

Assist the location management team through development, production and implementation of tactical marketing initiatives aimed at increasing customer retention, improving image, improving margins and increasing market share for Dining Services. Emphasis on customer satisfaction and growing base business.

Duties
1. Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Director to develop social media campaigns for all locations using Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. This includes designing campus wide and site specific promotions. As well as updating pages on daily or weekly basis.
2. Help develop and maintain Dine on Campus website, promoting both retail and board dining programs.
3. Helping develop and implement Text on Campus campaigns.
4. Collaborating with other interns on projects.
5. Any other duties assigned by Dining Service Managers

Must be a junior or senior and a marketing/advertising major. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and complete assignments involving multiple functions in a timely manner. Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills are required. Individual must be a self-starter and very detailed oriented. Minimum of 10 hours/week. This is a semesterly position for class credit and a nonpaid internship.

Lead Marketing Intern

Assist the location management team through development, production and implementation of tactical marketing initiatives aimed at increasing customer retention, improving image, improving margins and increasing market share for Dining Services. Emphasis on customer satisfaction and growing base business.

Duties:
1. Work with Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Director to develop marketing collateral to assist in driving sales at all locations.
2. Responsible for designing and developing ad campaigns for University Publications, radio, etc.
3. Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Regional Marketing Director to develop an inclusive communication strategy that includes direct mail, social media, focus groups, customer surveys, advisory committee, to all of the specific university customer segments.
4. Develop and maintain account specific websites, promoting both retail and board dining programs.
5. Help implement all aspects of campus marketing plan.
6. Collaborating with other interns in projects.
7. Any other duties assigned by Dining Service Managers.

Must be a junior or senior and a marketing/advertising major. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and complete assignments involving multiple functions in a timely manner. Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills are required. Individual must be a self-starter and very detailed oriented. Must be willing to work at least 9 months (entire school year), minimum of 12 hours/week. This is a paid internship.

Human Resources Management Intern

This internship will give the intern valuable, real-world experience, as well as providing the Management team with additional administrative support.

Duties:
1. Work closing with the Director of Board Operations to help develop and implement training programs for the account.
2. Assist in the development of job descriptions and detailed job routines.
3. Assist in helping implement HR procedures and policies.
4. Assist in the compilation and update of data required for OFCCP compliance.
5. Help develop recruitment and staff activities.
6. Work with Director of Board Operations and other managers on office tasks or projects.

Must be a rising junior or senior and a Human Resources or Management major. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and complete assignments involving multiple functions in a timely manner. Excellent technical, written and oral communication skills are required. Individual must be a self-starter and very detailed oriented. Minimum of 10 hours/week. This is a position for class credit and a nonpaid internship.

1. Responsible for UMass Dining Services publicity materials and creating advertising pieces (flyers, banners) that appeal to our customers, while uploading our company's image.
2. Produce print and online advertising pieces for all events hosted by Dining Services.
4. Works with others, such as printers, programmers, developers or other technicians, to complete the final product.
5. Help develop and maintain Dine on Campus website, promoting both retail and board dining programs.
6. Collaborating with other interns on projects.
7. Any other duties assigned by Dining Service Managers

Must be a junior or senior and a marketing/advertising major. Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and complete assignments involving multiple functions in a timely manner. Accounting/Finance Internship

This internship will help you develop real world skills needed for your future careers.

Duties:
1. Help and develop an Inventory Control system for all units within Dining Services.
2. Develop production sheets, including sales by hours by item.
3. Update any spread sheets as needed.
4. Participate in preparing spread sheets to contribute to statement of operations.
5. Assist in the preparation of PowerPoint presentations to graphically respect date.
6. Work with our Director of Board Operations and Assistant Board Operations Managers on other projects as needed.

Minimum of 10 hours/week. This is a position for class credit and a nonpaid internship.

Social Media/Marketing Internship (New Bedford)

J.J. Best Banc & Co. the leader in collector automobile finance is now offering a paid marketing internship in downtown New Bedford, MA. We are looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the social media landscape. Our company is currently redesigning our website, and will soon launch a social media campaign. As an intern you will be responsible for monitoring and posting on blogs, forums, and social networks. You will also assist in the coordination of special projects, such as bulk mailings, the production of email marketing campaigns and other events identified by the supervisor including follow up as needed. Must have strong critical thinking skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, an extensive knowledge of all social media sites and some Photoshop and HTML experience are a plus. Accounting Intern Paid in New Bedford

J Best, a local financier of vintage automobiles, is looking for a junior accounting major for a paid internship. This position will require approximately 15 hours per week working with Quickbooks and other accounting issues. You will be working for the controller and will have an opportunity to see the accounting side of a financial services company. JJ Best is located in historic downtown New Bedford.

The controller is Bill Clegg and interested students who are mature and are looking to establish a career path in management accounting. Job Description

1. JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting members of the Controller’s department, specifically in the Financial Reporting group, in both daily activities and special projects to learn, understand and gain experience related to external financial reporting. Assist in collection, preparation and submission of various government reports, maintain warehouse filing system and participate in ad hoc projects in the Controller’s department.

2. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate collection of government reporting data from divisions; consolidate as necessary and prepare report submissions.

• Assist with general ledger account reconciliations.

• Assist in the monthly closing process as needed.

• Create and maintain various financial reporting spreadsheets.
