Below is an internship position announcement that I received this
morning from Textron. Textron is a large global corporation with
headquarters in Providence, RI. This a one of those rare opportunities
that come along one in a while and if you have an interest in
corporate/management accounting, I suggest you apply for this position -
which will be in Providence, RI. They want someone who can make a 2 year
commitment on a part-time basis during school and possibly full-time
during breaks and in the summer. This is a paid internship. We have had
a few UMD students complete this assignment and some have stayed on
full-time in permanent positions. Seniors should not apply unless you
are going to start in on a graduate program because they want a 2 year
commitment. Students starting their junior or sophomore years in fall
2010 would be ideal candidates for this. I would love to see a CCB/UMD
student accounting major land this one and even though we have UMD grads
on the inside of Textron, this will be competitive as there probably
will be Providence College and Bryant University students in the mix -
but we are just as good - so please apply if you have an interest. Send
short cover letter and resume to: tfmartin@textron.com
